Assumption, IL – A show that truly transcends time has proven to be a wonderful experience for Central A & M students.
According to Timber Zeigler, the director of the production, the show’s message of hope and resilience resonated deeply with the community.
“It’s not just a classic show—it’s an inspiring one,” Zeigler said. “I think that’s what makes it so powerful.”
“I love that it’s not just about the music and dancing—it’s about the message behind it,” Zeigler explained.
“It’s about finding the magic in the world and letting it change everything.”
The cast and crew worked tirelessly to make the show a success, with strong support from the school and local community.
“We had incredible help from staff and volunteers,” Zeigler said. “Everyone pitched in to make this production something special.”
Zeigler’s own journey into theater began at a young age, performing in local productions and taking classes. “That’s where my passion really started,” Zeigler said. “I was just a kid, but I knew I wanted to be part of it.”
Reflecting on that journey, Zeigler offered advice to aspiring performers:
“Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks—just go for it. It’s addictive, and it’s worth it.”
The Mary Poppins production wraps Sunday, April 19th at 2 p.m., but its impact on the cast will linger long after the final curtain.
As Zeigler put it, “It’s not just a show—it’s an experience. And I’m so glad we could share it with everyone.”
